The perfect design for its use - Sterilite Wastebasket 28 Qt, Nov 06, 2005

I am ordering another since it proved over a year to be the best design ever for a kitchen wastebasket - it is exactly the right size at 28 qts for a shopping bag from Gourmet Garage or any other supermarket, so you dont have to buy bags. The lid flips open on springload to a vertical at the touch of the front pad. You can do it with a foot if you are using two hands to hold sopmething eg a plate and a fork to scrape it with.
Some unknown genius designed this thing and deserves a prize. And it costs nothing much!
